Annamacharya Institute of Technology & Sciences-National Service Scheme (AITS-NSS) is well known for its all round development of cultural and traditional festivals along with studies and as it respects all cultures and religions. As it is a secular country full of diversity in the religions, languages, cultures and castes, involved in the fairs and festivals celebrations. Bathukamma celebrations preparations were held under the guidance of all the department coordinators K. Manasa (Dept.CSE), D. Nitya Santhoshi Rupa (Dept.ECE), A. Kavitha (Dept.H&S), M. Sindhu (Dept.CIVIL), D. Nirmala (Dept.MECH), K. Sudha Rani (Dept.EEE), N. Annapurna (Dept.MBA), A. Navaneetha (Dept.MBA), V. Vani (Diploma), G. Mounika Sri (Diploma) E. Sangeetha, B.Radika and M.Jyothi (Non-Teaching).
As a prelude to the Bathukamma festival, the students of AITS has celebrated Bathukamma samburalu on 01/10/2024 in our campus. Students and teachers arrived at the campus in their best attire. Approximately 500 plus faculty and students were participated in this festival. Lady faculty and girl students were sang songs around Bathukamma as it is a colourful floral festival of Telangana and is celebrated by womenfolk with exotic flowers of the region. The festival has over the years became a symbol of Telangana culture and identity.
The guests who witnessed the event appreciated the girl students and Women faculty for encouraging togetherness, passion of creativity, team building spirit, learning and honing hospitality awareness through the festival. Annamacharya University Chancellor Dr. C. Gangi Reddy joined the event as the Chief Guest. College Principal Dr. P.V Krishna Murthy, NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. K. Sunder Kumar and Dr. K.V.L. Manasa also participated in the programme.
